Water dictates the rhythm in Bayanan.

This series looks at life perched right on the edge of the lake, where concrete steps simply run out and meet the open water. It captures quiet, unscripted moments that make up the day: a man resting his feet at the water’s edge in solitary thought; a stray dog picking its way across weather-beaten wooden bancas; neighborhood kids cutting through the midday heat by flinging themselves into the lake, mid-air and weightless against a backdrop of bamboo fish pens and stilts.

Rather than just documenting a place, the images frame the relationship between a community and the water that sustains it. It is about balance, routine, and finding quiet freedom in familiar spaces.
