Incidental Mirrors

I put this series together for the Fujifilm Nationwide Photo and Video Walk in August 2026 around the theme of reflections, where it was selected among the Top 15 in the series category. Instead of looking for glass high-rises or puddle reflections, I looked for the small mirrors people hang around neighborhood spaces in Quezon City.

Hidden in the corners of everyday spaces, small mirrors act as quiet observers. They catch the background of daily life that usually goes unnoticed. In these three frames, they hold a passing glance at a roadside accessories stall, customers waiting for their food across a carinderia counter, and two men sitting through a slow afternoon inside a hair salon.
