Jiufen After Dark

I ducked into the Ghost Lore Museum one evening in March 2026 after the rain pushed most people off the main lantern streets. Right next to the main stairways of Jiufen, the space is packed with absurd oddities and handmade props meant to startle anyone walking through.

Shooting in monochrome stripped away the colored bulbs and pulled focus to the actual surfaces of the displays. Once you look past the intended jump scares, the theatrics fall away. What remains are the details trapped behind scratched glass and dark corners, sitting on shelves like forgotten collectibles.
